Easter

We had an Easter egg hunt at the house last week for the kids. I was excited and may have bought too many eggs. 220 to be exact. To say that they were on a sugar high when they left my house would be an understatement.

Some sugar that did not get eaten...

Its not Easter unless you have Peeps but, I swear, no one likes the things.

I also made some carrot cake muffins with some cream cheese frosting. There are two points that I'd like to make. First, both the muffins and the frosting were from scratch. Yay me! Whoop! Whoop! Second, my calling totally isn't cake decorating. Notice how the frosting looks like fake white poop. At least it looks fake.

I tried to get my kids together to take a picture. I can take portraits for other families but, I can't get my kids to give me the time of day. I don't even care about the background anymore. I just want them together.

She loves her brother.

I may have made the hunt a little easy for her.

My baby girl. My blonde baby girl. Genetics are so fascinating.

My handsome little egg hunter.

Whassup?

Is that a date? Opposite ends of the blanket, please.

That can't possibly be enough eggs for one kid.

She wouldn't give me the time of day.

Hey kid, there's someone mackin' on your girl over there at the blanket.

Don't look at me like that.

Did they get the same ears? Maybe they look alike in the ears??

There's my favorite blonde little boy. Such a good sharer. He should teach jake a thing or two.

So much candy, so little time.

Talk about pinchable cheeks!

Did someone say cheeks?

So that was the egg hunt. We did dye eggs. I should say, I dyed eggs. That is one messy, scary endeavor. On Easter Sunday, I let jake paint eggs.

He LOVES to paint. We do it practically every day.
