For the Seniors…

You have the most amazing years of your life ahead. Whatever path you take, you are joining people that are just like you. You will be surrounding yourself with your “people”. Its no longer about where your parents chose to live, but what community YOU choose.

Your senior portraits should be just that, yours. This person you are now will change. You will grow. The beauty of these portraits is that you’re going to be able to look back and see that person before the wonders of the future. I can’t wait to show who you are now. I can’t wait dream about the future with you.

For the Parents…

I went with my son into his high school the summer before freshman year to walk him through his schedule. I remembered all the sleep I lost when he was a baby. Teaching him to ride a bike was one of the worst experiences of my life. Here I was walking with him through the high school halls.

I’ve always been the mom that embraces the next stage. Do I miss the littles, of course, but its an honor to sit back and watch them become these amazing human beings. Their future is shining. Good and bad. It all lies ahead of them.

I hope I can be a small part of your senior’s first steps into the future.
