Easter Weekend Part 2

Since the tile had to dry in the basement, I was able to have my husband for a whole weekend day. So how did we spend Easter....trying to fit in everything we could possibly do with daddy.

We headed to ikea bright and early on Sunday morning. Happy Easter! I was really excited actually. So the drive to ikea is about 1.5 hours. We had lunch there, did some shopping and headed home. Once we got home, we headed out to the zoo! "More ride choo choo daddy!"

He was so psyched to not only be on the train but, to have daddy by his side.

Love my boys.

I was really beginning to think this kid isn't the momma's boy I thought he was.

Then I got a "hi mommy". Thank goodness.

Short lived, though.

After the choo choo, we headed over to the petting zoo. jake actually does really well at the petting zoo. He especially likes the black goats. Wonder why?

I hope he's not asking if he can take him home.

It was a great weekend. Eventhough parts were pure craziness, it was fun. I was so thankful to have grammy's help on Saturday. It was nice to be able to take a breather. I really loved have Trev to myself on Sunday.

I fail to mention that jake didn't take a nap all weekend...and still hasn't taken one. We were having problems with him not going to sleep until 9:30 or 10 and taking hours to fall asleep. Since he hasn't taken a nap, he's been going down at 8 and waking up at 8. Who knows. He's still as happy as can be in the evening and not cranky. He hasn't fallen asleep in the car either. It makes me sad to think that naps may be over but, its nice to have better sleep at night. He's always dropped his naps early but, this is way early.

He's really picking up on words, too. Today we visited his friend Aubree. Aubree's neighborhood is still building so there's tractors and dump trucks every where. We drove past them and I asked him if he could count the tractors. jake's response...

one tractor

two tractor

three tractor

four tractors!!

I was so pysched...we had a ton of fun cheering and clapping.
