the new year | columbus, ohio family portrait photographer

I'm sitting here on my couch between my kids watching some Phineas and Ferb Star Wars movie. I started thinking about what I wanted for my life and my business in 2018.  The beginning of the year tends to lend itself to reviewing numbers, successes and failures.  On a personal level, I like to think that I always try to be a good person....not just the first week of January.  Sometimes I fail miserably but, sometimes I'm sure I made someone smile.

The downside to a creative business is that it is inherently personal.  "Its not personal, its business."  That totally does not apply to a creative business.  I want to make your final image emotional.  I want the person viewing it emotional.  The only way for me to do that is be open.

Anyway so I got all insecure.  Maybe my dreams are too big.  Maybe these plans and goals are going to crash and burn with wildly bright flames....worse...what if there are no flames at all?  When that happens, I open up my awesomeness folder and read the wonderful things my clients tell me....because I heart their words and the people so much.  Then I flipped over to the folder that contains on my Facebook sneak peeks.  They all made me smile.  They all made me emotional.  Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your lives.
