my plate

I have this love hate relationship with Pinterest.  There’s a fine line between being inspired and copying.  Pinterest makes that line itty bitty.  There’s that awesome felt bow that would look fantastic on a headband for a beautiful blonde little one  I for sure could make that myself....why should I buy it?

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.    

That is what I’m telling myself.  Just because you can do it, doesn’t mean you should do it.  I’ve always wanted to be this great crafter.  Filling my house with all these beautifully crafted things.  Making my daughter these awesome accessories.  I’ve had a little room all to myself for the last five years to fill with a bunch of stuff that I will for sure use...one day...on this one craft project.  I never do that one craft project.  I’m letting go of my crafting dreams.  

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

I’ve decided that to add things to my already full plate, something has to come off.  Crafting dreams...tag...you’re it.  My husband and I are redoing my small craft room into a joint office.  I’m ordering adult furniture and clearing it out.  I am beyond excited about the end product.  Its the right now that’s not the greatest.  I’m going through this pile of junk to figure out what needs to go and what can stay.  Going through five years of craft junk isn’t all that easy.
