resolve

I'm telling myself its mid February because then that means we're that much closer to the end of February which is March and March means there may be some hope for temperatures above freezing….right??

I had it on my to do list to check in with myself and see how I'm doing with keeping up with all the changes I made in the new year.  At the very least, I get credit for actually putting that on my to do list.

Professionally, I'm part of a small group of mom business owners.  We've pulled together to motivate, support and inspire.  I can't wait to see where this journey takes all of us.

I'm kind of proud of myself for keeping up with my goals for over a month.  The one thing I can't seem to shake is the need for the internet during the day.  My desire was to put down my phone and try to be a little more present with my kids.  I try to say no electronics for anyone between the hours of 9 and 2.  I can't say I'm totally successful but, at least I'm trying….this is where I'm giving myself a break.  I'm working on it and that's better then not, right?

Then there is the desire for me to not yell so much.  I'm a yeller.  I don't want to be a yeller.  I grew up with yelling and I really don't want my kids to have to hear what I did but, man, I swear they do not listen unless I yell.  There's no giving myself a break on this one.  I'm pretty much failing.  Sigh.  I'm trying.  The kids, especially my oldest, are not making it easy.  Parenting is hard….then I catch moments like this…when they do this all on their own and I get scared to move an inch for fear I'll ruin it.
