My mom's group likes to focus on a charity each year.  This year we chose The Ronald McDonald House.  Our group has made dinners for the people staying at the house and held a silent auction.  I donated a portrait session to the auction.  I'm not going to lie, I was a little bit worried about the success of the auction.  I mean, we're a group of stay at home moms which means we're a group of one income families.  Not exactly a room full of money bags.  I underestimated the generosity of my friends, though.  We're all so lucky.  The auction was a success and this family was the winner of a portrait session by me!  Lucky ducks!  I get to see the kids at play dates but, I never really get to fully interact with them.  I'm usually running after a 3 year old and 11 month old!  It was kind of neat to get to talk to them and get to know them a little more.  I love how simple the world is for little ones.  Puppies and Spiderman.
